When you take a puppy location scouting

It was the perfect day for a hike through fresh snow. The sun was shining on us on December 23rd at Higley Flow State Park in Colton. Higley is one of my go to locations for portrait session. The snowshoe and cross country ski trails are very well maintained paired with gorgeous tress and a 'lake' it's the perfect winter spot.

I always make sure to go to my locations before a shoot to plan the day and make everything run smoothly. Luckily that day I was accompanied by 2 of my favorites, my boy and his puppy. Needles to say Nimue ended up in every picture even though I wasn't trying to photograph her. She's so sweet and loves to be a part of the action.

She loves to be the center of attention and is such a good sport !!

Here she is running into my shot !

And being the perfect stand in model !

This one is my personal favorite! Right after I called her name she came running so fast I couldn't refocus my camera quick enough! What a cutie ! Thanks Nimue for being a good model ! I can't wait for my first session of the year here on the 6th !
